Twitter – the mobile-based microblogging service – has become the new darling among social media marketers and internet geeks since the SXSWi conference in 2007. Lacking any kind of monetization model, Twitter seems a trendy but not sustainable company, like PointCast in the 1990s.

1. Understanding Social Media Better
Just by utilizing twitter, these brands through experimentation are learning and understanding more about social media and their customers. Twitter may not have a business model yet, but reaching out and getting to know customers is part of the business process these brands need to have to survive. Bad things about twitter
1 .For kids who crave attention, social network becomes a venue for them to act out. These kids may make inappropriate statements, pictures and videos that could ultimately harm them. Also, posts and materials that are published online tend to be permanent and may haunt them in the future.
2. Screen relationships detract from spending time in real life relationships.
3. Social networks are fertile grounds for bad influencer and anonymous venoms and hunting grounds for deviants and other predators.
4. Social networking sites make kids more self-centered. Since Social networking sites give kids their own page which is about them, it leads some vulnerable kids to think that everything revolves around them,

2. You can create a group of the people that generally tweet interesting things and follow only that column. It makes the Twitter experience so much easier.
3. A Brazilian company Tecnisa created a special promotion for social networks, and in June of this year it managed to sell the first apartment ever on Twitter, at a face value of around $250,000.
4. Dell started using Twitter to promote and sell its products. The campaign has been very successful so far, with over $2 million in sales generated with Twitter exclusive deals.
